5 Things Salesforce Developers Should Know About Lightning Web Components

About this event

As Solution Architects, we are often impressed by the level of expertise and quality of UI development in many Salesforce projects. While Salesforce has made strides towards aligning with general web standards with concepts like Aura and Lightning Locker, and more recently with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Lightning Web Security (LWS), there are still significant knowledge gaps among Salesforce developers. This session aims to address the following questions:

- Why are Apex Unit Tests written as a matter of course and even code coverage goals enforced, but LWC Unit Tests are largely unknown?

- Why is so much individual HTML and CSS written, even though there is a standard component library and its own design system (SLDS)?
