Salesforce Developer 1 Study Group.  Note: Venue Change!!!

Many thanks to Keste for hosting our Salesforce Developer 1 Study group at their offices in Plano.  

Salesforce.com offers three major certifications for Force.com Developers: The Platform App Builder, the Developer 1 Certification, and the Developer 2 Certification.

For the Dev1 study group, we will be using various texts including the SFDC Apex Code Developers Guide (google 'apex code developers guide' for the pdf).  If you don't already have an account, get a DE account and run through the exercises before our meeting.  Session Leader: Sunita Manne, Cal Smith, Ajomon Joseph, Moyez Thanawalla

All, remember, this is the DEVELOPER 1 study group for certifications (aka the 501 study group).  

For this session, we'll be covering the "Tools" that will covered on the Dev1 Exam. That would include the Developer Console, Schema Explorer, Force.com Migration Tool (ANT), and the Force.com IDE (Eclipse). You'll want to read the Finishing Touches Section of the Apex Code Developer's Guide (Chapters 12 through 15). I also recommend you read the Force.com Migration Tool Guide (it's on the list of reference materials for the exam).
