About this event

Have you ever wondered what the limits are on customization with your Salesforce.com User Interface?  Well, wonder no more, because we have the answer!  Join us as we learn a whole new way to turbocharge our VF pages (the way that cool kids do):  with embedded JavaScript!  Discover how to easily hook up the most powerful JS libraries including JQuery, and (my favorite) EXTJs to your user interface.  We'll show you how simple it is to bind JS grids, buttons and whatnots to the VF Controller.

We will also unveil an exciting new non-profit partnership for the Dallas Salesforce DUG.  For many months, key members of our group have been reaching out to NGO's in the Dallas area who use Salesforce.com as their CRM platform.  We have scoured the plains for that one NGO that can best utilize our skills to unleash the power of SFDC for the good of mankind.  We have found one such NGO.  Your are invited to help (1) create their ORG (2) design their architecture (3) prepare their workflows, and (most exciting) (4) plan and organize our (first ever) participation in DallasGiveCamp - a weekend hackathon that that pits the baddest and bravest developers on each computing platform (.NET, Java etc.)  against each other.  Our team, working on the SFDC platform, intends to wipe the floor with the rest of them. Come learn of our top secret plan, and join the team if you are so inclined.  DUGee Terri Walker will clue us in.

As is quickly becoming our tradition, we will have cake and libations after the event.  This month we are celebrating the conclusion of our first ever DEV 401 and DEV 501 classes, and the the start of our ADM 201 study group.

I hope to see on Wednesday, August 28th, 2013 at 6:30PM.
