   this month we will once again hold our meeting at NorthLake College.  

  We are starting a two-month preview to Dreamforce 2017.  This month Salesforce senior tech Sunita Manne will present an introduction to Wave Analytics, to prepare us for an in-depth, technical view of the same topic in October.  The two part breakup is vital to understanding the power and scope of Analytics.  Analytics is much, much more than reports, and should be a central weapon in your arsenal of Salesforce skills.  

  I will follow up Sunita's presentation with a sneak peak at my Dreamforce 2017 presentation "Tools, Techniques and Solutions To Avoid A Big-Data Blowout In Your Org" :

Most of my client databases are growing at an exponential rate.  Doubling every year, to be exact.  And everything that was fast last year is suddenly stuck in the 'spinning wheel' of wait.  Data access, persistence, filtering, sorting…everything.  How will you scale again next year?  3 years ago we saw very few client databases beyond 2 million records.  Today, it is not unusual to see 10's of millions of records in a given ORG.  

If you've built your company's database on Salesforce, there are  some concrete architectural approaches that you must be aware of.
