Building Lightning Components

When Lightning Components first came out, I was very excited about learning about Aura JavaScript framework. The component-based and event-driven architecture that natively integrate with Apex really appealed to me as well. I built a POS-like form app using 4 Lightning Components in a Lightning Page for a Lodge Resort. However, I felt that I wasn’t taking advantage of re-usability benefits of component-based architecture and I combined the app into one component. I would like to share how I did it as 4 components and as one combined component.

Lightning Components State

When developing an application using Lightning Components, one of the challenges is how to manage the state of the application and the Lightning Components. During this presentation, I will show how you can manage the state of your Lightning Components by using the concept of "Presentational" and "Container" Component.
