We will be meeting for the SUMMER OF TRAILHEAD on July 24th in Edina!

What is Trailhead?  (gasp!)

Trailhead is a new self-paced learning tool by Salesforce.  The currently available 25 modules cover everything from basic platform knowledge through advanced mobile programming.  One of the best features of Trailhead is that we're not just learning - we're doing, and having our lessons VALIDATED on the fly!

Did I mention you earn BADGES that display on your Developer community profile?

What modules will we be doing?

• Apex Triggers

• Apex Testing

• Visualforce Basics

• Apex Basics & Database

• Others as suggested by YOU and time available

Who is the intended audience?

Everyone is welcome - whether you are new to Force.com development or a seasoned veteran, Trailhead modules both offer great lessons in best practice and application as well as an opportunity to share your real-world knowledge with those learning the platform.

How will we be working through the modules?

As a group, we will move through each module and discuss/answer questions on functionality, application, and real-world experience.  Some modules are just Q&A, some involve actual coding.  All skills and examples are provided and demonstrated within the module - all you need to do is have Developer Console (or your IDE of choice) and warmed up coding fingers.  =)

End of the day on a Friday?

Yup!  What could be better than taking a half-day for training then to be with fun people, learning cool stuff, and at the end of the week?  =)

I'm still ironing out the details, but we're planning on having some food and beverage brought in near the end of the session as well.
