About this event

Hello everyone!  I hope your summer is going well and you're getting out to enjoy the awesome weather we've been gifted with!  *smile*

On to business!  At popular request, we are going to focus on PORTALS.  If you did or didn't know, Salesforce has started pushing Communities and further leveraging Chatter to connect with customers, partners, and all other walks of contacts.  Communities has been a growing push both within Salesforce itself and through the unification of many features within the platform.

Previous to Summer '13, new and existing orgs could utilize Partner Portal and Customer Portal.  As of Summer '13, you no longer have access to create new PP / CP and now use Communities to meet your needs.  The goal of our August meeting is to explore and learn Communities and how to make them work for us.

We will be gathering speakers, demonstrations, and an org that we can all log in to and work with firsthand.

Building on our new sponsorship by PluralSight, we will have some cool trinkets and three (3) 1-month subscriptions to hand out for some trivia at the end.

UPDATE!  We will be broadcasting this meeting via ReadyTalk.  Please register HERE to view us remotely.  =)
