I have been a Salesforce Admin since January 2012. My company, BerkleyMed, decided to purchase a CRM, and while myself and two coworkers were at our first day of the Salesforce Admin 201 course, our Production site was turned on #firehose. With the help of a consultant we launched 35 users (our entire company including sales, underwriting, actuarial, and more) into Production six months later. As a mostly solo admin, I dabbled in Apex, learned just enough about coding to be dangerous, and discovered it wasn’t my passion. After accepting a leadership role in August 2016, I wasn’t able to focus my efforts on Salesforce, and in early 2019 realized that I wanted to get back to building. After spending my entire career (17 years) at my first company, I took a leap of faith and joined the Midland States Bank team as a Solutions Engineer in June 2019. I’m now on a team with three other awesome admins and an amazing developer launching new sales teams into Salesforce every few months. We all can’t wait until the entire company is on the platform, and we can start doing the fun automation builds. I “grew up” in Classic, and am now on a Lightning instance.
