Feb 17, 2021, 5:00 – 7:00 PM

Two presentations for February 17th meeting: 1, Customizable rollups for NPSP 2, SFDX for Admins

About this event

The topics for the Feb 17th (Wednesday) meeting are as follows:

Customizable rollups for NPSP - By Ryan Berens

Now entering its third year, Customizable Rollups are a first-class feature in the Non Profit Success Pack (NPSP) that is similar to standard roll ups but which enable admins to do more with less. It allows you to display and report on key donor statistics using all the key revenue-related objects on donor records in Salesforce (Here's looking at you Payments!). In this session, we'll review some background on what rollups are, what they do, why they matter, as well as provide some step-by-step instructions and some use cases you can bring back to your nonprofit.

SFDX for Admins - By Mike Demaria

The sfdx command line can do some awesome stuff.  It can login to multiple systems, move metadata between orgs, run tests, export records, be used to create reports…this sounds like stuff admins do.  All too often, sfdx is focused around the developer, and doesn’t explain its usefulness to admins.  With the rise of source control and CI/CD, admins will find themselves more tightly integrated into a development team.  It’s time for admins to get into sfdx too.  In a hands on demo, we’ll use sfdx to move metadata, automate creating a dozen new fields and extract data for custom reporting.
