Gordon Lee is the Salesforce Solutions Architect at Common Sense, a nonprofit dedicated to helping kids and parents thrive in a world of increasing media and technology use. A native San Franciscan, first-generation Chinese-American, and 12-year addict of the Salesforce ecosystem, Gordon started off as an Accidental Admin and has never looked back. His passion is helping nonprofits focus on strategy, not tasks, and he believes that in order to empower others, you first have to empower yourself. His favorite Salesforce mascot is Astro, but he has been told it should be Codey by his wife, who shares the same name.
With 8+ years of experience, Joseph is a versatile Salesforce Solution Architect with a demonstrated results-driven history of working in both the Media & Communications and Financial Services industries. Skilled in SDLC, Agile, Business Process, Salesforce.com Configuration and Development, Analytical Skills, Software Documentation, and Business Intelligence, and best practices in design. Joseph’s design approach harnesses the power of the platform's native configuration features like Flow, Process Builder, Live Chat, Live Message (SMS), Call Centers (CTI integration), and other aspects of the Administrator's tool chest. When Joseph does rely on coded solutions, they are scalable and adaptable for change. He believes is always more than one solution to navigating tomorrow's challenges and his solutions capitalize on maximizing “time to value.”
Proven thought-leader dealing with Executive leadership and execution teams. Accountable for developing the annual Roadmap (strategy, vision) for Salesforce platform and increased adoption by divisions through obtaining Executive level buy-in. Managed the $1.7 million budget for the enterprise’s Salesforce investment plus staffing and managing the Center of Excellence and its governance processes.
Over the course of my last role as Solution Architect, Joseph served as an architect on a multi-cloud multi-division engagement for the enterprise. His design scaled the platform for an ORG from a single B2B division of 140 users in Sales Cloud to a full Enterprise solution with 600+ users in eight B2B and B2C divisions using Sales, Service, and Community Clouds plus Einstein Analytics and AI. Managed team of Admins and DEVs accountable for implementation. Participated in delivery configuration/development for broader platform stand-up initiatives and integrations tasks. Team delivered 900+ enhancements over 4.5 years with 54 on-time monthly releases. Delivered expansion leveraging configuration; there are less than 155K characters of custom APEX in the solution.
