Slack represents a whole new way of communicating. It’s centered around topics and projects, NOT around people or modes, and above all it’s searchable, making internal comms more transparent. In this session, Jacob Gross from the Slack Community Team will tell us about how Slack does community, and Hayley Tuller from Navigators will share all the tips and tricks to make you a master Slacker.
**NOTE: This is a joint event hosted with the Nonprofit User Group. The "Get Tickets" button above will take you to their page to make your actual RSVP**
Rolling out Slack to a whole organization is a big project. But for many organizations, it’s not just the size of the endeavor that’s the challenge. Slack represents a whole new way of communicating. It’s centered around topics and projects, NOT around people or modes, and above all it’s searchable, making internal communications more transparent.
First: You're part of the Salesforce Trailblazer Community, so you know the power of collaborating with others to learn, give back, and have fun while growing your skills in the Salesforce ecosystem. Well, Slack has a community too! Jacob is here to tell us all about what makes it unique and how you can tap into it via the Slack Community Forum to connect, ask questions, and share ideas. (And learn about the best reaction emojis too, hopefully! 👀)
Then: If your organization has historically used tools like email to collaborate, transitioning to the more transparent and collaborative Slack may feel a little strange at first. Here are some tips focusing just on YOU and how to make the transition and embrace transparency in communications.
SAVE THE DATE for the return of in-person events with the joint LA-area community groups' ❄️ holiday party on DECEMBER 1st! ⛄
