Join the Salesforce Nonprofit User Group, St Louis, as part of the Trailblazers: Uniting to End Hunger Together Event on December 3rd
Please click "Get tickets" to RSVP to only 1 of the 2 events as there are limits to how many volunteers we can have at each location. Because these organizations depend on our volunteerism that day, please ensure you will be there in person.
We hope you'll join us in giving back, and please see below for more information on #TrailblazerAID
***If you'd like to bring donations as well when you arrive to volunteer the Food Pantry shared that they are always looking for donations of hearty soups, dried beans and lentils, rice, peanut butter, protein sources like spam, beef stew, tuna or chili and cooking oil. We also offer laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid and hygiene items like bars of soap, toothpaste, shampoo and deodorant once each month. Also diapers (sizes 4-6 most often needed) and period products.***
On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of Band-Aid's classic song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" It became the catalyst for other global musical charity events like “USA for Africa,” “Farm AID,” and “Live AID,” as well as other social justice causes like “Sun City.”
Inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Harry Chapin, and Bob Geldof, plus taking into account this year is the 40th anniversary of Band-Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”, I believed we could accomplish something ambitious with finding Trailblazers around the USA (and maybe the world?) to find time to work in their local food banks, soup kitchens, or homeless shelters on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 – the 40th anniversary of the recording’s release to the world.
