Priti is a strategic business technologist and evangelist for women in business and technology. An engineer by education and training, Priti has 18+ years of experience in various roles across engineering, business, strategy, consulting and education. Over the last 11+ years, in Asia, North America and Europe, Priti has led initiatives and ventures that leverage the dynamics of digital collaboration and emerging disruptive technologies to create thriving societies.
Priti is the Director of New Business and Innovation at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in digital, IT and business services. She joined the New Zealand team in September 2020 to grow the NZ business and leverage the TCS' global capability for NZ businesses, communities and the environment.
Prior to joining TCS, Priti was the Director of Innovation at Tech Futures Lab in Auckland, where she launched, built and grew their Corporate innovation Practice enabling innovation capability within large NZ businesses, teams and boards, by embedding contemporary business strategies, platform business models and workforce capability to drive business results.
Priti is part of the Business Innovation Faculty, on the Master of Technological Futures programme (tech MBA) at Tech Futures Lab where she teaches hi-tech entrepreneurship, networked business models and has advised 20+ Masters candidates on their business projects.
Priti is co-founder and host of Moonshot:City, a podcast and blog exploring the big questions around what makes a resilient and regenerative city. She co-initiated the takarangi project: an indigenous Māori-led approach to environmental and social regeneration, inspired by doughnut economics.
Priti was instrumental in the deployment and activation of Upsouth, a human empowerment platform enabling Auckland Council to activate meaningful relationships with their communities in South Auckland. She co-founded The Next Billion, an impact-driven enterprise that pools collective resources to invest in female-led businesses.
Priti was born and raised in Mumbai, India and lived in the United States for 13+ years before moving to New Zealand in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (University of Mumbai) and a Master of Science (University of Maryland, College Park, USA).
