Marketing Cloud Foundations - Practical Usecases for Beginners Part 5 - Marketing Cloud Connect

This course is targeted to aid newcomers in Marketing Cloud to gain experience and build confidence with performing foundational tasks in Marketing Cloud. The objective is to introduce to the platform through the series of practical exercises mixed with guided learning, preparing fresh developers/administrators for the real jobs.

This course is targeted to aid newcomers in Marketing Cloud to gain experience and build confidence with performing foundational tasks in Marketing Cloud. The objective is to introduce to the platform through the series of practical exercises mixed with guided learning, preparing fresh developers/administrators for the real jobs. Please note that these sessions are not geared to certifications - but to learn how to handle real life scenarios that you shall come across when you get into supporting Marketing Cloud implementations.

We will be having 5 sessions (one each Friday starting March 5th 2021) covering the following topics:

Session 1: Data Management (Mar 05)

Customer often have a need to bring data from other systems as well as extract and move data from Marketing Cloud. In this session, you will learn how to work with Automation Studio - inbound and outbound file-based flows in Marketing Cloud.

Session 2: Content (Email & Web Channels) (Mar 12)

Email is one of the most widely used marketing channels - in this session, learn how to configure emails in Email Studio and send them out to customers. We will also explore how to create a Landing page with form processing and how to use these for marketing.

Session 3: Journeys (Mar 19)

Customer journeys form an essential part of most marketing implementations - in this session we will deep dive into common use cases on how to set up Single and Multi-step Journeys with appropriate automations and interactions

Session 4: Scripting, SQL, API (Mar 26)

Understanding how to customize Marketing Cloud features using programming unlocks the power for you to be able to do more using the platform - in this session, we will review how to perform segmentation using SQL Queries, personalization using AMPscript as well as how to use SSJS & APIs for a transactional send scenario

Session 5: MC Connect (Apr 02)

Now that we have seen how to use the basic features to get started in Marketing Cloud, our journey wouldn't be complete if we don't cover features available from SFMC integration with Sales Cloud using MC Connect. In this session, learn how to use Synchronized DEs in Automations and configure connected journeys with CRM activities.
