About this event

Whoop! What an October event we have lined up for you... we have Craig Suthers over from the US giving us an introduction to Lightning UI Performance Testing, and Paul Kissick bringing us up to speed on External Credentials.

Please note that this is an IN-PERSON event only, and sadly due to repeat no-shows we might have to start REFUSING ENTRY to folk if they RSVP and repeatedly don't make the events. This is something we really want to enforce, but many folk have not been able to attend the events due to others taking up a ticket and then not showing up. We understand that plans do change, but if they do please update your RSVP as soon as you can.

Introduction to Lightning UI Performance Testing - Craig Suthers

Performance should be part of the Software Development Lifecycle. Entry into performance testing is significantly higher than writing functional/integration tests. Salesforce perf (performance) is particularly challenging.

Some key areas to be understood are what perf metrics are available, how to setup an environment to get consistent results, how to write tests for perf, how to collect perf metrics and how to make decisions on whether your changes have made any perf impact. There is no silver bullet to improve perf, however we will discuss the standard recommendations including use of Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Content Delivery network (CDN).

As always, we will give everyone plenty of time to talk and network, eat, and have a fun and relaxing evening. We'll also cover the latest news from the community, and hopefully have some swag to give away too

Please note this is an in-person only event - only RSVP if you are confident you will be able to attend.

Huge thanks to LendInvest for hosting and to Mews for sponsoring us this month.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting on the day.
