Spring is here, and in keeping with the season of new beginnings we have new hosts and speaker - Pexlify are hosting and Matt Grimwade, Solution Architect/Technical Lead, is giving us a talk on incorporating configuration data into your DevOps process.

Please note that this is an IN-PERSON event only, and sadly due to repeat no-shows we might have to start REFUSING ENTRY to folk if they RSVP and repeatedly don't make the events. This is something we really want to enforce, but many folk have not been able to attend the events due to others taking up a ticket and then not showing up. Treating Data Like Metadata: Incorporating Configuration Data Into Your Devops Process - Matt Grimwade

Complex custom solutions, Salesforce CPQ, Field Service Lightning and other data driven solutions - they all rely on configuration data to drive system behaviour.

But as developers, how can we build, manage & release this data? Manual data loads during deployments waste time. Refreshing sandboxes can become a painful process. Trust and confidence is reduced as environments fall out of sync. Changes can't easily be tracked and reviewed. Developers & testers struggle with high quality data to build against.

In this talk, we’ll explore how we can follow a source-driven approach and start treating this data like we treat our metadata. Using SFDX, along with one or two helpful plugins, we'll see how we can improve our devops processes to help us manage & deploy complex datasets for data driven systems.

As always, we will give everyone plenty of time to talk and network, eat, and have a fun and relaxing evening. We'll also cover the latest news from the community, and hopefully have some swag to give away too
