Session 1 - Building Inclusive Lightning Web Components

Abstract: Inclusive design means building solutions that can be used and enjoyed by anyone. Of course, this is easier said than done!

In this session, we will establish how building inclusive Lightning Web Components not only directly enriches the end user’s experience, but brings concrete business benefits. We will describe the guidelines and the process we use at FinancialForce to design, build and maintain our Lightning Components. And we will give you practical advice for ensuring that your hard work can be used by as many people as possible!

Session 2 - Using the Apex Wrapper Salesforce Metadata API

Abstract: The Metadata API is a powerful tool to enable apex code to interact with metadata in a similar way to which we interact with records.

In this session we’ll cover how the Apex Wrapper Salesforce Metadata API library can be used to interact with the API, simplifying tasks like setting up a remote site setting which is required for an integration, or amending permissions sets in bulk based on other changes in the org. These are just a taster of the different tasks you could use the library to accomplish in your own implementation. We’ll give an overview of the code in the repository itself, and do a demo of it being used in practice.
