Mar 21, 6:00 – 9:00 PM (UTC)
Salesforce Developer Group, Bristol, United Kingdom
The March 2024 Salesforce Developer meetup will be hosted at Desynit's office (30 Queen Charlotte Street) on Thursday 21st March, doors open at 6pm There will be pizza, drinks, lots of Salesforce development content and plenty of chat with your local development community.
For this meetup we will be at the Desynit office. Pizza and refreshments will be provided on arrival.
We have a presentation this month from Aidan Harding, Head of Platform Engineering at Mantra Tech (and Bristol Developer Group regular) entitled "Clean Code is neither necessary nor sufficient":
"Conventional ideas about clean code have prescriptive ideas about how to write code that is easy to understand and contains fewer bugs. There are even metrics to measure this cleanliness. However, I will demonstrate that although unclean code correlates with buggy and difficult code, it does not cause it. And that “clean” code can still be hard to understand. We will see the importance of runtime behaviour and how to observe it. We will see how patterns and architectural design are better tools."
Aidan's talks are always meticulously researched and great for sparking discussion. We will also have Mike and Dorian from Desynit doing an introduction to MuleSoft's AnyPoint Platform for Developers.
The meetup will be hosted indoors. We ask all attendees to please be aware of their health. If you feel unwell, or have any cold / flu like symptoms then please do not come to the meetup (don't fret, our next meetup is only a few months away). Masks are not mandatory, and we ask you all to please respect each attendees choice on if they wear one or not.
Following the presentations, we will be heading out to the nearby King Street to continue the discussion of all things Salesforce and development.
We cannot wait to see you there!
Chris and Dorian
