About this event

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of Band-Aid's classic song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" It became the catalyst for other global musical charity events like “USA for Africa,” “Farm AID,” and “Live AID,” as well as other social justice causes like “Sun City.”

www.TrailblazerAID.com

As a community, we can accomplish something ambitious with Trailblazers around the USA (and maybe the world?) to work in their local food banks, soup kitchens, or homeless shelters on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 – the 40th anniversary of the recording’s release to the world.

The information below is where we will gather in the San Francisco Bay Area/ Peninsula to work at helping drive forward with an effort to end hunger, while our other Trailblazers take up the cause in their communities from coast to coast.

Many of these locations require that volunteers are fully vaccinated, and also cannot guarantee the status of those that come to be served. They recommend masks. I or they will not ask for proof, so please choose based on your own status and comfort.
