Everybody knows that one of the biggest reasons a project fails is from the lack of preparation around defining outcomes and goals during the discovery process. However, it’s one thing to want to have these things defined - actually knowing how is another. So how do you stay in the saddle when it comes to wrangling down a problem this broad and abstract?
Everybody knows that one of the biggest reasons a project fails is from the lack of preparation around defining outcomes and goals during the discovery process. However, it’s one thing to want to have these things defined - actually knowing how is another. So how do you stay in the saddle when it comes to wrangling down a problem this broad and abstract?
During this session, we’ll share tips and tricks, as well as facilitate a practice exercise (that attendees can participate in), on how you can leverage some business analysis skills to better uncover information - which will ultimately define the direction (and success) of your project. You’ll learn some tips on how to 1) prepare for a discovery session, 2) how to ask good questions and listen effectively for answers, and 3) evaluate a live, mock discovery session that will help bring these concepts to life.
You’ll not only walk away with some new tools to add to your business analysis toolkit, but you’ll also be able to join a community of experts who can help you prepare for the Salesforce Business Analyst exam to really prove your skill set, as well as other training you might want to use for building your career. We hope this session will give you a few new skills (or an opportunity to practice something you’re already good at) so that you can avoid the dreaded “this isn’t what we asked for!” pitfall down the road and, instead, ride off into the sunset after go-live.
