Join fellow Trailblazers for a joint Community Group Holiday Party and Food Drive with the Admin, Architect, Developer, Marketing, Muley, and WIT Salesforce groups in the Orange County area, coming together to end hunger and share in the holiday spirit.
While Trailblazers across the country take up this cause, our goal is to collect essential donations for the Orange County Food Bank, focusing on high-need items such as canned meat and fish, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, and dry goods (beans, pasta, rice, and cereal).
We kindly ask each attendee to bring at least two cans of food to contribute, helping us make a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to give back, learn, network, and celebrate our vibrant community as we wrap up the year and look ahead to 2025!
Parking: Complimentary underground guest parking is available throughout the The Park and The Village at Irvine Spectrum. Please do not park in any fire lanes or near any fire hydrants.
On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of Band-Aid's classic song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" It became the catalyst for other global musical charity events like “USA for Africa,” “Farm AID,” and “Live AID,” as well as other social justice causes like “Sun City.”
Inspired by the legacies of Bruce Springsteen, Harry Chapin, and Bob Geldof, and in light of this significant anniversary, we aim to mobilize Trailblazers across the USA (and possibly the world) to volunteer in their local food banks, soup kitchens, or homeless shelters on the 40th anniversary of the recording’s release.
Together, we can build a world without hunger. We are raising funds for the global organization WhyHunger, co-founded in 1975 by Harry Chapin. WhyHunger fuels grassroots solutions worldwide that provide healthy food, protect our land and resources, and center justice in our food system. Donate Here to lend financial support to WhyHunger!
Our goal is to raise $25,000 for their efforts. If you or someone you know needs assistance accessing food, the WhyHunger Hotline at 1-800-5-HUNGRY and the online search at WhyHunger.org/FindFood can help veterans, seniors, families and working people around the country find food in their neighborhoods during times of need.
