Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
Join us by volunteering your time to help lay the wreaths at the ~12,000 headstones at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
Due to Covid restrictions this year's event is being held over a 3 day period, from Thursday, Dec 17th thru Saturday, Dec 19th. The cemetery is only allowed to have up to 50 volunteers on site at any given time. To ensure compliance, it is required to us to sign up for individual hour time slots on any of the 3 days of the event.
UPDATED TIME: We will be participating as a group on Thursday, Dec 17th from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Each group is only allowed to have up to 10 participants. So, we will have to limit our group to that number as well. If you would like to volunteer at the event, then all you need to do is RSVP for this event and I (Marc Lester) will handle officially registering everyone on the Wreaths Across America website.
If you would like further information about the event and/or how it is being handled this year, here is a link to the official page for Wreaths Across America at Jacksonville National Cemetery: http://www.wreathsacrossamericajacksonville.com/
If this date and time that we will be participating as a group does not work for you, then please feel free to sign up for any other available time slots throughout the 3 days.
Below is a link to a map of the cemetery. There should be volunteers when you arrive to direct you where to park at the cemetery.

The normally scheduled event that happens at Noon on Saturday across all of the National Cemeteries is not happening on-site this year. Instead there will be a virtual ceremony that will take place.
I have also created a GroupMe group to coordinate logistics for this event, as the cemetery is large and broken up by sections, and I will not know in which section we will be needed until we get there. Please make sure you join this group so we can ensure we are able to meetup to participate together. http://bit.ly/2Y12oKk
