Volunteer Opportunity at Feeding Northeast Florida

Apr 12, 5:00 – 9:30 PM

Salesforce Admin Group, Jacksonville, United States

Come join your fellow Salesforce Trailblazers to help fight hunger with this Warehouse Food Sorting volunteer opportunity at Feeding Northeast Florida. Depending on the need on our volunteer day, we may be sorting donations of shelf-stable items, bagging fresh produce, or repacking frozen items.

About this event

We are excited for this opportunity for us all to volunteer our time in our community as our way to contribute to the Salesforce Pledge 1% Initiative!

We have selected Feeding Northeast Florida, as we feel this program is able to touch so many families in our community with such a critical need...FOOD!

Volunteers are the heartbeat of the operation at Feeding Northeast Florida!

Volunteers represent an integral part of Feeding Northeast Florida's ability to help provide food to over 85,000 of our neighbors in need every day in our community.

Feeding Northeast Florida involves hundreds of volunteers each week in various aspects of their operation. They have individual and group opportunities for those who are 14 years of age and older.

Warehouse Food Sorting

We can help fight hunger with this warehouse food sorting volunteer opportunity. We will help ensure high-quality, safe food is being distributed to clients by working with teams to inspect, categorize and package food items. Depending on the day, we may be sorting donations of shelf-stable items, bagging fresh produce, or repacking frozen items.

Closed-toe shoes are required for participation.

Feeding Northeast Florida's warehouse does not have air conditioning or heat so please plan to dress according to the weather.

All volunteers must be scheduled in advance. Feeding Northeast Florida cannot accommodate walk-ins.

In addition to RSVPing to our event here, please ensure you sign up for the opportunity directly with the Feeding Northeast Florida organization using this link:  https://bit.ly/3TdJyOs

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your community leaders at jacksonville-fl-admins@trailblazercgl.com, or you can reach out to Feeding Northeast Florida directly at volunteerprogram@feedingnefl.org.

We look forward to seeing everyone at this awesome opportunity to give back to our community here in Northeast Florida.

We will also plan on heading over to Crispy's in Springfield afterwards for some networking.
