Ambition, Opportunity and Impact: A conversation with Irma Olguin Jr.

Sacramento, CA Women in Tech Group
Wed, May 27, 12:00 PM (PDT)

About this Meeting

Join us for a talk with Irma Olguin Jr., CEO and Co-Founder of Bitwise Industries and CEO of Shift3 Technologies. Irma has dominated an industry that traditionally is not welcoming to women, LGBTQI, or people of color by creating an inclusive environment that she couldn’t find anywhere else. With diversity and inclusion at the heart of the business Bitwise has made Fresno one of the fastest growing tech centers in the U.S.

Irma will share her story, what motivates her to make a difference and how Bitwise and Shift3 developed, a one-stop resource providing access to available services, funds, and jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bitwise and Shift3 saw an opportunity to serve their community by bringing together the resources people need most into one place. This website was created out of necessity, by software developers from communities most impacted by this crisis, who are often overlooked by the technology industry and who are now serving their country in its time of need.
