BackPack Buddies provides children from low-income households with 10-12 pounds of nutritious kid friendly groceries for the weekend when free school lunches and breakfasts are not available. Suggestions for food drive items include: healthy snacks (granola bars, fruit pouches), packaged noodles (macaroni & cheese), canned goods (soups, tuna, beans, meat & pasta, veggies & fruits without the syrup), breakfast items (whole grain cereal, oatmeal, grits) and 100% juice boxes.
