About this event

We have an action-packed meeting planned for next week for you as we go on the road north to Papa Murphy's Headquarters in Vancouver for some pizza, Lightning and Field Services demo! What we have on tap (aside from beer) is:

Getting to Lightning

What are the barriers you see for your organization moving to Lightning?  Our very own Melissa will be talking about a few of the more common ones and strategies for addressing them.  (Getting Executive buy-in and resource allocations, Slowness, Learning a new Tech Skillset)

Group Discussion on Lightning Workshops

The move to Lighting represents a substantial shift for Salesforce developers and we’re looking to schedule hands-on workshops to dig into all the new tools and tech that are quickly becoming non-negotiable.  Some may be guided, but we are also looking to help each other peer-to-peer as we work through Trailheads, sample projects and starter code.  For example,  we have heard a lot of interest in working through the demo that Barry Hughes presented in our April Meetup, that might be a first workshop where we can get hands-on and help each other in getting up to speed.

But wait - there's more!

Shilpa Ramaswamy, Lead Solution Engineer on the Salesforce Service Cloud, will introduce us to a field service tool - today’s field service management options can be challenging to navigate. Service agents, field dispatchers, technicians, and managers are held back by siloed teams and disconnected processes. They are slowed down by inefficient scheduling and systems that can’t keep pace with fast-changing businesses and industries.

Field Service Lightning is the latest tool from Service Cloud to ensure that businesses can meet rising customer expectations with rich insights. Field service presents its own unique set of challenges in meeting and exceeding customer expectations, and with Field Service Lightning companies are equipped to deliver the same connected experience in the field and close the customer experience gap.
