November Portland, OR Women in Tech Meeting

About this event

"Go with the Flows", "Let Your Creative Juices Flow", "FLOWing the Coop", "Let 1000 FLOWers Bloom"...don't let this description fool you, we are talking about FLOWs in November. This month will also be a co-hosted meeting with the Portland, OR User Group. We will be meeting in Downtown Portland at Smarsh.

Megan Moody will be presenting to both groups about the power of a lesser utilized but very scalable declarative automation, FLOWs.

Presentation will include an overview of what is possible with flows, introduction to the flow designer and how to use it, tips for newbies on how to test and debug flows, and an overview of the resources available (e.g. Variables, sObject Variables, sObject Collection Variables, etc).

Learn about the power of flows, both user launched visual flows and auto-launched flows.

Visual flows are a powerful tool for admins to guide users and ensure cleaner data, particularly in Lightning where a flow component can be dropped on any Lightning page to guide a user through a complex process or to just present information that is otherwise not accessible via a standard Lightning component.

Auto-launched flows can be used to accomplish many things that typically are identified as development items.

Please RSVP (with one group or both groups) so we can have enough tables and chairs and snacks. Come with questions, issues, suggestions, best practices, whatever so we can keep the conversation going.

Don't forget to bring calling/contact/business cards for networking as well.
