About this event

NOTE:  Location Change  -  Tonight's event will be held at the same location, but on the 4th Floor as opposed to the normal 5th floor.

We're pleased to present Judi Sohn and Jason Lantz from Salesforce.org! The open source Salesforce.org Nonprofit Success Pack has grown to 150k+ users in seven years by combining a proprietary cloud, corporate philanthropy, and open source product delivery. Allowing users to freely launch an enterprise class version of the software has contributed to that growth but also raises challenges of how to engage such a rapidly growing and largely non-technical community. Learn about Salesforce.org product delivery using tools such as CumulusCI and Heroku, and how you can get involved and use these technologies in your own projects.

This Meetup is hosted by CRM Science and Intelligent Office. Food and drink will be provided at 6:00pm. The presentation will start at 6:45pm.

We'll have some awesome Salesforce swag prizes!

Speakers:

Judi Sohn, Manager, Open Source Community, Salesforce.org.
Judi Sohn has been actively involved in the nonprofit technology community since 2006 when she was managing operations for a colorectal cancer advocacy organization. Since then, she has worked for both product and consulting partners who serve nonprofit organizations on the Salesforce platform. She holds four Salesforce certifications and was named a Salesforce MVP in 2011. At Salesforce.org, she manages and facilitates community contributions to open source projects, including the Nonprofit Success Pack

Jason Lantz, Lead Release Operations Engineer, Salesforce.org.
Jason Lantz has been an active user of open source since first installing Linux in 1996. After starting in systems administration, he moved into building web applications mostly in Python. His passion for open source merged with a passion for nonprofits in 2008 which led him towards his current role at Salesforce.org. Jason now spends his time designing tooling to support open source team development on the Salesforce platform. This work led to the creation on release of two open source projects, CumulusCI and mrbelvedere.
