Create Powerful Reports Using SOQL Cubed Results and Visualforce
Ami Assayag, CRM Science
"Group by cube" is a powerful feature of SOQL that every developer should have in their toolkit. It is a very handy tool when you need to create complex Visualforce reports because you can get aggregate results for different grouping of values in a single SOQL call. This session will go over an example of using one "cubed" SOQL call to generate pivot data of multiple Case fields and use the data to build Visualforce charts that are not available through standard reporting.
Business Agility using Workflow & Approvals
John Wilson, PointRoll
Not all logic needs to be coded programmatically. Force.com's workflow and approvals engine lets you easily invoke tasks, trigger email alerts, database updates, or messaging based on business events. Join us to learn the platform's workflow capabilities, and hear how other customers have gained valuable business process improvements using workflows.
Chrome Extensions for Salesforce Professionals
Kirk Steffke, CRM Science
In this session we'll demo two new Google Chrome browser extensions available on the Chrome Web Store and AppExchange that allow Salesforce.com administrators to minimize the amount of clicks required to manage large numbers of records and quickly configure user profiles with the "Admin Assistant" extension. With the "Code and Query Keeper," extension, keep you favorite and commonly used script statements and SOQL queries a click away, right within your browser.
Win an iPod Touch
There's a great prize in this month's swag bag! We're giving away an Apple iPod Touch 32 GB to one lucky meeting attendee! We'll be drawing a name out of a hat and everyone in attendance will receive one entry. You can increase your chances of winning by spreading the word on Twitter. Tweets should include @PhillyForce and a link to the event (http://www.meetup.com/PhillyForce/events/142343782/). The more you share, the more entries you receive!
