It's been a few months but now that EOFY is over and I have a little more time, it's time to talk volunteers.

Volunteers are a great asset to any org because not only are they free but they also have great enthusiasm! 

Did you know that Salesforce has a pre-built and more importantly FREE package that contains many of the features needed to manage and sign up volunteers. As with all things with Salesforce the sky is the limit with how you can customise a given process but this will be more a a discussion on how you may want to implement a volunteers process in you Salesforce org.
