Our guest speaker, Karthik Nallajalla, will go over Visual Studio Code for Salesforce development, which includes connecting to a Salesforce org, retrieving org metadata, making code changes and deploy back to org. Feel free to bring your laptop to try it out. If possible install VS Code https://code.visualstudio.com/ before the session.
