Salesforce Nonprofit User Group, New York City, United States

Learn how Little Kids Rock implemented text messaging via Salesforce and how it has helped them stay connected with constituents during the COVID-19 crisis.

About this event

In 2019, music education nonprofit Little Kids Rock implemented texting for teachers as a new channel of communication. Originally created to provide teachers with workshop reminders, Little Kids Rock has recently expanded its SMS strategy to stay connected with constituents during COVID-19-related school closures.

Melanie Tolomeo, Systems Manager and Michelle Shen, Marketing Manager will describe the process of selecting an SMS vendor, building fundamental automations and templates, and promoting this new method of communication. They will share their experience, including key learnings, to guide organizations that are exploring SMS options to communicate with their constituents.
