I received another update:

Thank you for all of the hard work organizing a viewing party for Tuesday, March 7th. We have an important change. We have changed the content for the broadcast to be Marc kicking off FY18. Marc Benioff will be hosting a live broadcast at 10 AM PST to share our company vision and product strategy. We invite everyone to tune in live, or we will provide the recording for you to watch with your viewing parties.

So, this means for us that we will move the party from midnight to 18:00 on March 7. We are sorry for this last-minute change and hope you will (still) join us for the FY18 Kickoff party!

Update: Salesforce has moved the Spring '17 release party to March, 7. Please read the reason why:

We are so excited for the upcoming worldwide gathering featuring Marc Benioff and other special guests. We know many of you have been hard at work planning, booking venues, and rallying community support for this upcoming event and for that we are so grateful! Unfortunately, we need to change the date to March 7th and hope you'll be able to understand how sorry we are for any inconvenience this causes. The event on March 7th will be amazing and we hope worth the effort for the change.

Hi Developers,

Although it doesn't seem like it when we look outside, Spring is in the air! The Spring 17 Release that is. 

Salesforce will come together for the first time for a Release Party and we are invited to join (virtually). I know it's in the middle of the night, but it would probably not be the first time that us developers pull an all-nighter. We are going to  tune in to the LIVE broadcast of the event featuring a personalized address from Marc Benioff and a deep dive into the technology with top executives and product managers. 

You will hear directly from amazing customers, trailblazers and partners on what makes  the Spring ‘17 release awesome.

Here is a sneak peak at the broadcast agenda to give you an idea of what to expect:

0:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. Walk-in, drinks and networking

1:00 a.m. - 1:30 a.m. - Pre-show

1:30 a.m. - 2:30 a.m. - Keynote with Marc Benioff & special guests

2:30 a.m. - 3:00 a.m. - Drinks and networking

Of course we will have some fingerfood and drinks available to keep us going through the night.
