Salesforce Women in Tech Group, London, United Kingdom
Join us at our May meeting when we are going to talk about how we can help get more women into technology companies and technology roles.
We will hear and talk about two different ways that we can make a difference.
Steve Brown from Next Tech Girls is going to share their mission to improve gender equality in the technology sector by providing 5,000 girls with tech work experience by 2020.
He will talk to us about what inspired the team to take on this challenge, tell us about their successes (and pain points) as well as share how we, as Women in Tech, can help.
As women in working in the technology industry we can also position ourselves as role models and by progressing our own careers into positions of seniority, responsibility, and innovation. We have an amazing example of this with our second speaker Debbie Ashton who was one of the co-founders of FinancialForce, the first ISV on the Salesforce platform and the largest-to-date with a $100m ARR.
Prior to creating FinancialForce, Debbie served as the Head of Product Management for the CODA Group. Previously, Debbie held positions in client management, consultancy and presales for Science Systems and was part of the team who acquired CODA in the year 2000. Following the acquisition of CODA, Debbie led the team that designed and delivered CODA's award-winning financial applications and was a core member of the team that conceived CODA's SaaS accounting concept.
