Salesforce Developer Group, London, United Kingdom
A bonus month, three excellent talks this month and a special guest from Salesforce; 1) Importing Data into Scratch Orgs using SFDX Go beyond the basics of data loading. 2) Patterns for Unlocked Packaging Best practices and patterns for package-based dev. 3) Lightning & Blockchain More Details to follow. Follow us on Twitter @LonDevSFDC for updates.
Two more excellent talks this month;
You may know, because you’ve read the help files, that it’s relatively easy to export and import data from a parent and a child object using scratch orgs with some simple sfdx commands. That’s great, and really handy, but what happens if the area you’re working on is several layers deep in the data structure, or you need some junction objects or objects with multiple lookups populated? Well you can do that too with a little bit of preparation. Once you’ve done that, then with one command line entry, you can import hundreds of records, creating multiple entries in every object you need in just a few seconds and I’d like to show you how.
Unlocked packages allows teams to build repeatable, scriptable, easily versioned artifacts that can be deployed to any org. But what do the paths to production look like with this development model? What tools and environments should teams use? What impacts does this have on source control and Continuous Integration/Delivery systems? Principal Architect Evangelist Zayne Turner will talk about best practices and patterns for package-based app delivery.
Have you ever wondered how several data and devices are connected and yet are so reliable and secure? Well, come and learn how block chain helps in connecting the data such that the trust is maintained and the productivity is increased. In this session you will find yourself awestruck, on seeing how simply we can use Block chain in Salesforce and gain our client trust on complex applications.
