We have two talks this month about Salesforce Platform Encryption and the Analytics Cloud platform(Wave). 

Salesforce Platform Encryption

Summary

The talk will give a high level overview of Data Residency and Data Privacy/Protection laws and their impact on Cloud computing. It will then delve into how encryption technology can be leveraged to protect data held on the Salesforce platform, by providing an analysis of Classic Encryption, Platform Encryption (New in Summer 15) and Encryption Gateways (e.g. CipherCloud Perspecsys).

Speaker

Thomas Waud is a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect and Data Privacy/Residency subject matter expert at Cloud Sherpas. He has over 10 years experience implementing CRM systems mainly in the Financial Services Sector.

Analytics Cloud - Wave

Summary

The talk will set the scene with a high level overview of WAVE Analytics Cloud, describing who it is for and what it can do. It will include a demo on how the functionality in the UI can be extended with JSON and reference dev projects that is already taking place . This is an introductory session to the new capability that will feature highly for Salesforce over the coming years.

Bio

Kerry Townsend and Scott Gassmann are both WAVE Brown Belts. Between them they have 12 Salesforce Certifications and in total over 15 years experience customising Salesforce.
