About this event

Hi all,

Happy new year! I hope 2018 is treating you well. We are excited to announce our first meetup of 2018.

There will be a few short talks, lots of socialising and plenty of food and drinks.

Our first speaker this month will be Richard Clark who's speaking about Error Handling for Custom Lightning Components, in his own words:

"In this session I'll share some of the common pitfalls of handling errors in Lightning components and make my own modest recommendations for how you can avoid them plus suggest some best practices that will make your test automation scripts easier. As part of my role at Provar I get asked to investigate when our customer's tests are seen to be failing in order to diagnose whether the fault is in the Salesforce Org or a missing feature of Provar. I've learned the astonishing ways in which people are publishing code for Lightning Components without basic error handling to a point I'd argue is negligent! This has led down a deeper and deeper rabbit hole which, like Alice, I'd like to share so you can all safely reach the Lightning Wonderland."

Our second speaker for the night is Rikke Hovgaard - our friendly neighbourhood Einstein Analytics expert.
Description:
Discover how to build genius dashboards in Einstein Analytics; make sure your dashboard is optimized and utilize the features available to maximize the user adoption and knowledges gained from the dashboard. Also learn the magic of compare tables and see a sneaky compare table hack.

About Rikke:
Rikke Hovgaard is the lead Analytics consultant with makepositive. She has worked with the Salesforce platform for 6 years and jumped on the opportunity to work with Einstein Analytics 2,5 years ago.

Our sponsor this month is Slalom - a salesforce consulting firm - who will be hosting us in their lovely office at London Bridge with a view of the Thames. We look forward to seeing you there.

Doors open at 6:15 pm.
