We have two talks this month about Building Video Apps on Salesforce and also CSS Positioning with Flexbox. Due to the tube strike, which shouldn't stop services 100% we're never-the-less going to start the talks a little earlier this month. See Agenda times below.

CSS Positioning with Flexbox - a game changer

What is the box model? How does floats and positioning really work in CSS? We will be taking a look at how you can use CSS to position your HTML elements, what the box model is all about and how Flexbox can make your life easier.

Kim Hellbom is a Front End Technical Consultant at makepositive. Kim built his first website when he was 12, and while relatively new to Salesforce.com he's designed and delivered some of the most ambitious Salesforce customer projects for both desktop and mobile.

Building Video Apps on Salesforce

Summary

The talk will give a high level overview of the options for integrating video, WebRTC and focus on the OpenTok platform. We'll see some live examples of apps built with the OpenTok SDK, have an overview of the underlying architecture, the use cases it can be applied to, and show you where to get started in Apex.

Francesco Iervolino is a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect and rivals even the great Bob Buzzard for his certification history. His beer knowledge isn't as extensive as Keir's but he does know a thing or two about good Espresso coffee.
