About this event

As a continuing effort to give back to the community, we have scheduled this additional volunteer opportunity at BEAM.

Back to School with BEAM!

Join your fellow Salesforce Trailblazers to help Beaches families get their children ready for school by providing clothing, new backpacks, school supplies, shoes, and underwear to children in our service area.

There are several volunteer opportunities from Wed, 7/31 through Sat, 8/3.  Children are welcome on Thursday and Friday shifts with parental supervision. On Saturday, BEAM asks that children are at least high school age and are able to work without supervision. You are more than welcome to sign up for as many date/time slots as you would like.

Although you are welcome to sign up for any date/time slot throughout the week, if you are interested in joining your fellow Trailblazers, then please sign up for a shift on Sat, 8/3 between 9:30am-12:00pm using this link: http://bit.ly/2Xu9yd5

You will notice there are several volunteer opportunities that start at either 9:30, 9:45 or 10:00.  Feel free to sign up for any of these time slots, and family members that are at least high school age are welcome to join us!  Let's see how many slots we can fill during this time!

After the Saturday shift, we will coordinate going to a nearby restaurant to provide lunch to all our group's volunteers.

About BEAM:
OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND A PATH TO ECONOMIC STABILITY.

Founded in 1985 by representatives of local churches who received many personal appeals for emergency financial assistance, The Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, or BEAM, was created to provide help in a coordinated way and to prevent duplication of services. Today the community support for BEAM has extended well beyond the faith community to include individuals, businesses, local organizations, and local foundations.

We envision a future in which no Beaches resident goes hungry or is haunted by the fear of eviction.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your community group leaders, or you can contact BEAM directly.

We look forward to seeing everyone at this awesome opportunity to give back to our community here in Northeast Florida.
