Join us for Developer Week as our Community Group learns about the newly released Lightning Web Components! LWC is a new programming model for building Lightning components.  It leverages the web standards breakthroughs of the last 5 years, delivers unparalleled performance, and coexists and interoperates with all of your existing Lightning components. As a part of Developer Week, we'll be joining other Developer groups around the globe to learn about Lightning Web Components.

Bring your laptops! We're going to get hands on with Lightning Web Components. You'll be able to earn your Quick Start: Lightning Web Components badge on Trailhead (or if you've already done that, the new modules on Lightning Web Components will be available the day of your meeting for you to work on!).

SWAG!!! Why else would you join us (besides the fact that it's always fun and exciting to learn new things on Salesforce?!?!).  Come and get your stickers (3 new ones just for this event!).  Participate in our quiz and you may win a very nice Lightning Web Components Sherpa blanket or a Lightning Web Components duffle bag or (drumroll please)...a lego-style Codey figure.  There might be some other items too (t-shirts anyone?).

Location Notes

We are holding this session at the Lakewood Public Library Main Branch in the Multipurpose Room.  The library opens on Saturday at 9am and there is parking behind the building with entrances off of both Mars and Arthur Avenues.  Additional street parking is available on both Mars and Arthur Avenues or at Kauffman Park across Detroit.

The Multipurpose Room is located on the 1st floor of the library at the back end of the Children's Library (left side of room).  Please note that the library only allows water brought in provided it is in a sealable/leafproof container.  There will be several bottles of water available for anyone who would like one.
