Nov 20, 2018, 5:30 – 7:30 AM
Salesforce Developer Group, Canberra, Australia
Save the date for our last meeting for 2018 where we'll wrap up a huge year for our expanding user group and celebrate the festive season. Organised along with the user-group !
As always there will be delicious canapes and a selection of beverages plus a fantastic lucky door prize perfect for the festive season from our fellow group member Scott Leggo.
Topics for the night will include presentations on:
1. Tactics to change organisational behaviour (presented by Catherine Labbe, PwC) - With a new focus on digital transformation, many organisations are focusing on changing the ways IT departments work on projects: from traditional to agile .... but no one tells the users! Users have learned to stop asking for what they want, find a way to get around rigid systems and download free apps to help. With SF we can do better - we know it - but how do we make the rest believe us?
Use Salesforce to create a culture that supports difference of opinion and a willingness to try different things:
Opportunity for IT staff to show value, flexibility and get closer inline with the business and needs!
Give your employees a voice again by providing ways for users to shape the system at the start AND always.
2. Highlights of Salesforce Winter '19 Release (presented by Tanya Weston, Australian Academy of Science)
3. Goodbye Notes & Attachments; Hello Files! (presented by Hargobind Singh) - Files were first introduced as a powerful way to manage documents in Salesforce in Winter '16. Other options such as attachments and documents are not as flexible and are becoming more and more obsolete. Hargobind will be presenting the difference between the two and how to make the move.
