On Saturday April 12th the South West Developer User Group will be organising a full day hackathon. It is being held in central Bristol and Force.com MVP Christopher Alun Lewis is going to lead a team of developers through the super-agile (or should that be "speed-agile"?) design, development and implementation of a full Salesforce app - which will allow companies on the Salesforce platform to run a World Cup 2014 Sweepstake in their business, among their employees.
The entire app is going to be designed, indexed, developed, tested and documented in a single day, or Chris will eat his MVP hat. (He's even promising 100% test code coverage)
Depending on numbers we may break out into different teams, allowing people to focus on the Click configuration, Apex code, or the Visualforce/HTML5 UX work - so there will be something for everyone.
Most importantly, we will make sure there is a veritable buffet of pizza, soft drinks, and beer to fuel us all through the day, as usual!
There is no requirement to be an experienced Salesforce developer, in fact, we will probably need some external skills to work on UI, Web services etc.etc. so bring all your technically gifted friends along.
