We’re heading back to the Watershed! The next meetup will take place on the 4th November, 6pm - 8pm.
The theme of this session is data security. In an increasingly connected and data driven world, the volume of sensitive information held in systems increases exponentially every year. We only have to look at recent news articles in relation to hacked systems to realise the importance of preventing unauthorised access to sensitive data in the modern world.
But help is at hand! Peter Chittum, Salesforce Developer Evangelist extraordinaire, will be providing a presentation on how Salesforce developers can address these security concerns. More specifically, the presentation will focus on Platform Encryption, part of Salesforce Shield, a premium set of integrated security services built natively inside the Salesforce platform. Using platform encryption, developers can provide the data security required, whilst still enabling the full intended range of functionality without restriction, even in third party apps!
Peter always brings a unique sense of enthusiasm and excitement to his presentations, and never fails to inspire developers to push into previously unchartered territories, so make sure you don’t miss out!
After the presentation, we will be holding an open mic security Q&A session with Peter, so if you have any burning questions about keeping your data safe make sure to bring them along. Beyond the talk, we will be breaking out into the main bar area for the usual enthusiastic discussion of all things force.com related.
So if you fancy jumping in from the cold to enjoy some warming drinks, expert security insight and force.com chat, this is an event not to be missed!
Look forward to seeing you all there!
