WE'RE BACK! It's been a while, but the Bristol Salesforce Developer User Group is back with a bang to bring you all the latest developments (pun intended!) in the world of Apex, Lightning, Visualforce and beyond....
We are once again meeting at the Royal Navy Volunteer on Kings Street. In this meetup, we will be seeing double as joint presenters Simon Lawrence and Dorian Sutton from Desynit will be presenting two talks about all things DX!
6:30pm Salesforce DX
Salesforce DX is the new change management framework that supports continuous delivery and enables development teams of any size to make changes to their code reliably and quickly. DX allows developers to break free of the shackles of change sets, and integrate with version control like never before, hurrah!
In Dorian and Simons first session, they will be explaining the basics of DX, including how to get started with DX, how it differs from the current change set process, and describe the lessons they have learned throughout adoption.
As anyone in the Salesforce community knows, Salesforce go all out when it comes to conferences (google Dreamforce if you don't believe us!). Last year, Salesforce launched it's very own Developer centric conference, TrailheaDX, which brings Salesforce devs right up to speed with the latest enhancements and possibilities. It's just like Dreamforce, except with 10 times the code!
This years event was held at the end of March, and Simon and Dorian were lucky enough to attend. In this second session, they will give us a flavour of the TrailheaDX experience, bringing us all the latest platform news, cool features we might be able to look forward to in the future ( safe harbour :D ) and tips on how to make the most out of the TrailheaDX experience!
7:30pm General Discussion
After our presentations for the evening we will continue in the downstairs bar to chat all things Salesforce. Trailhead, Certification, Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, Codey the bear, you name it, someone will want to talk about it. It's always great to meet the members of your local Salesforce community!
We will have a tab running at the venue, which offers a great range of beer, wine, spirits and alcohol-free drinks.
We look forward to seeing you there!
