April Virtual Meetup - Frictionless deployments using SFDX and CI/CD

Apr 23, 2020, 11:00 PM – Apr 24, 2020, 12:30 AM

As Salesforce continues to evolve its tooling and pattern for running deployments, it's important for all developers to adopt and stay up-to-date with their own practice in this area. Adi Rawat from Slalom will present a CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment) setup powered by SFDX, complete with a hands-on exercise if you want to try it out!

About this event

Adi Rawat: Achieving frictionless deployments using SFDX and CI/CD

Learn how a growing salesforce team can develop, test and deploy changes with minimal friction using SFDX to maintain a reliable codebase that is ever-ready to be deployed for a release via a C.I./C.D without creating changeset for each release.

We will have a hands-on exercise, where admin and developers would learn how to create scratch Orgs for development and push those changes to single code-base (changeset) that maintains a single source of truth for all the customizations ready to be deployed at any given time.

Software Pre-requisite for optional hands-on exercise:

Sourcetree: https://www.sourcetreeapp.com/

SFDX-CLI: https://developer.salesforce.com/tools/sfdxcli
