A special treat for our last meeting of the year!
The Incredible Testing Framework by Hannes Ellerbrock
A first reveal of a new method to make Apex tests faster, easier, and standardized.
Salesforce MVP Hannes Ellerbrock has been creating and perfecting this technique for over eight years, using it in development of countless lines of Apex code and thousands of organizations—and he's never shown it to anybody, until now.
It could best be described as a modular approach to testing: How to, for example, create a set of records once in a standard way and use them in multiple tests, rather than creating a new set for each.
He'll also show his best practices for test creation using a framework model that eliminates the need to re-design a test every time you code something new, you just bolt on to the framework.
If you’ve been developing with Apex for any length of time, you’ve probably thought something like this was possible, but it's been done! Why not see how it works?
Learning these testing secrets could save countless hours of needless frustration in the new year! :)
Combined with Free Beer and Pizza waiting for you when you get here, and jovial colleagues, it’s a good time!
We'll have plenty of time for questions and if you have something else you'd like to discuss, feel free to bring it up. We're pretty relaxed!
IMPORTANT: RSVP!! Tell me you're coming!
I need to know how much pizza to order and how big a room we'll need.
Also, if you have something special you’d like on a pizza, let me know in the RSVP comments!
Hope to see you there!
