About the talk
Apache Camel is an open source Java framework that focuses on making integration easier and more accessible to developers. It provides implementation of enterprise integration patterns (EIP) like: publish-subscribe, aggregator, throttler and many more; support for more than 220 components that integrate with various systems or technologies like: SOAP, Dropbox, SQL, HL7 and a very concise and easy to use support for defining integration flows -- or in Camel parlance routes.
One of the components is Salesforce integration that exposes the Salesforce REST API as an endpoint you can use to connect to other components.
Say you have a need for streaming events from Salesforce to a message queue, create Salesforce objects from MongoDB and many other use cases can be fulfilled within a page of route definition in Java or XML.
The talk will present you with general overview of Camel, key terms used in it and a couple of examples of integrations using the Salesforce component.
About Zoran Regvart
Zoran Regvart is a Apache Camel committer with almost two decades of software development experience.
