Hello Berliners,
Winter is here and we could not have a better host than Thermondo to keep us warm and give us space to organise our first meetup of 2018
Here is the agenda for the evening:
19:00 : Welcome / Introduction
19:30 - 20:30 : Denis Cornehl & Johannes Hoppe
Title : Thinking outside the Box (Salesforce)
Summary : In our opinion, Heroku is the way to host most web applications. Use cases range from small fun projects to huge autoscaled systems. This is also the reason why salesforce acquired heroku to own the platform for everything that you can't or shouldn't build inside salesforce.
To accompany this, heroku built "heroku connect", which is an easy way to do a reliable two-way sync between salesforce objects and database tables.
Too good to be true? Actually not. We believe this is the best way to sync data, for certain usecases. There are definitely limitations, and things we need to work around, and build tooling, but it's worth it (also the price tag). 20:30 - End : Networking
