Salesforce Quote-To-Cash: The ins & outs - April 25, 2017

Brussels, BE Administrators Group
April 25, 2017, 6:30 p.m.

About this Meeting

Salesforce defines Quote-to-Cash as the complete set of business processes involved in selling, from creating initial offers for prospects to collecting cash. Quote-to-Cash begins with Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ)—configuring the offer, developing the appropriate pricing, and creating the quote. It continues on through negotiations, invoicing, payment, and even renewals and renegotiations.

We will share our experiences implementing this product from start to finish.

This session is geared towards prospects & customers thinking about, or currently are, implementing Salesforce Quote-To-Cash or just want to know more about it. Consultants, administrators and developers who would like to know the product and implementation process.

Agenda
6:00PM Welcome Welcome drinks and networking
6:30 PM Going through Salesforce CPQ During the first part of the session, we will primarily explore Salesforce CPQ. Salesforce CPQ is the first step in configuring a Quote-To-Cash process. CPQ stands for ‘Configure, Price, Quote’. CPQ will provide sales reps with the necessary guidance during the creation of a quote by preventing misconfigurations and suggesting upsell products. At the end of our quoting process, we can add additional discounts within certain parameters, or stick to the automatic discounts suggested to us by CPQ. The quoting process ends with the generation of an output document, containing dynamically generated content. This document can be sent to our customer for signing by an e-signature platform. After signing, CPQ will automatically close the opportunity, and pass on all information to Billing for invoicing.
7:30 PM Break
7:45PM Going through Salesforce Billing Based on the information passed to Salesforce Billing, we will queue up our products to be ready for invoicing. Products are picked up by invoicing schedules, during which Billing will automatically group products to invoices. After posting our invoice and sending it to the customer, Salesforce Billing will start with payment collection. Posted invoices can be amended by creating debit and credit notes. Finally, we will also briefly look at how Billing handles different legal entities, general ledgers, revenue recognition and tax calculation.
