The Salesforce ecosystem includes thousands of developers that release new apps every day. Many of these developers aren't familiar with the potential security issues their Apex code can create. Documentation and Trailhead can help, but what if there was a simple, free tool, that could dramatically reduce the number of security vulnerabilities in Apex? Come join two of Salesforce's highly experienced security engineers (Marat Vyshegorodtsev and Sergey Gorbaty) as they discuss their approach to tackling this problem with PMD, or Programmatic Mistake Detection. PMD supports many popular languages (including Apex), is open source, and is integrated into many common developer tools. Learn how PMD can improve your code, and what Salesforce security is doing to continue to improve the developer experience.
We will also be joined by Lorenzo Frattini, Lead Technical Architect (and CTA!) at makepositive. He is the founder of Clayton.io and he'll be explaining their exciting, new code review robot.
